How to delete an email in cPanel
Method 1: Bulk Delete Emails (Recommended)
This method allows you to quickly free up space by deleting large batches of emails.
- Log in to cPanel.
- Navigate to the Email section and click on Email Disk Usage.
- Select the Account (email address) from the dropdown menu.
- Click Manage next to the folder (e.g., INBOX, Sent) you want to clean.
- Select a filter from the list, such as:
- 1 year old or more
- 30 MB in size or more
- Previously viewed
- All messages
- Click Delete Permanently.
Note: These actions are permanent and cannot be undone.
Method 2: Delete via Webmail (Roundcube)
Use this method for selecting specific messages to delete.
- Log in to Webmail (usually
yourdomain.com:2096). - Select Roundcube as your mail client.
- Select the message(s) you want to delete.
- Click the Delete button.
- Important: To permanently delete them, you must Empty the "Trash" or "Deleted Items" folder afterward.
Method 3: Delete Entire Email Account
If you want to remove all emails by deleting the entire account:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Click Email Accounts.
- Find the email address and click Delete
